Fishing Report
While it seems like the conditions might be better for catching a wave versus catching a fish, it sounds like surf fishing might be just as good as surfing!
Anglers are catching a variety of fish from the surf! It’s been great Bluefish fishing along most of the beaches! Lots of Sea Mullet, Spot, and Flouders are being caught too!! There’s been reports of Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum around as well.
The piers have mostly seen Sea Mullet, Puppy Drum, and nice Bluefish. Hopefully, the conditions will get Drummy again soon!
There has been pretty consistent Drum and Trout fishing in the sound! We’ve heard good reports of Speckled Trout around Pea Island.
The offshore fleet is catching Blackfin and Yellowfin Tunas.
The North Carolina Beach Buggy Association’s 14th Annual Red Drum Tournament is still going on through tomorrow. Good luck to all the teams and anglers!
